Phil Prendergast
Phil is a dynamic entrepreneur with a deep passion for connecting with people and a hands-on approach to business. He founded Evergreen Design and Build to merge his love for construction, design, and entrepreneurship into one thriving pursuit. Phil is captivated by the process of creating and transforming spaces. His keen eye for design and leadership skills laid the foundation for his success in the construction and design industry. Phil's vision is to exceed client expectations by creating personalized, impactful spaces.
Phil thrives on building strong relationships with clients, partners, and his team, fostering a collaborative environment where creativity flourishes. His hands-on involvement in every project ensures the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Phil and Stephanie have been married for 20 years and have 2 amazing daughters together.
Stephanie Prendergast
Stephanie grew up moving around the country, spending many years on the east coast, which nurtured her love for nature. She moved to Toronto for University, and quickly discovered her passion for interior design by transforming her own spaces. Her journey began as a fervent desire to create beauty, coupled with a genuine love for working with people, and she was inspired to pursue a career in design and construction. Stephanie’s approach is a seamless blend of creativity and professionalism, where every project is a collaborative journey with her clients. She thrives on the joy of helping people turn their vision into reality, making their spaces feel like an extension of themselves. Stephanie's dedication extends beyond the realms of design; she believes in the power of spaces to influence well-being and happiness. It's not just about decorating rooms for her – it's about creating environments that nurture and inspire.
Mark Hryniw
Mark grew up and went to university in Calgary and then spent several years living in Asia. He moved to London in the early 2000’s and immediately got his start in construction flipping houses with a partner and working for a contractor. After several years of this he took his real estate courses and became licenced realtor. During that time he was always busy with construction projects as he performed major renovations to his own houses, his eight rental units, his vacation property and consulted on countless projects for friends, family and real estate clients. After having worked with the Evergreen team for several years, Mark gave up his real estate license after 16 years at the end of 2023 to focus solely on our thriving business.
Eric Flodrowski
Eric has been renovating houses since he was a teenager. He grew up in London and has lived in the city most of his life. Eric's career background is in mechanical engineering and project management, but at his core he loves to build things. Understanding problems and finding solutions is a core part of his personality. His journey has been fueled by a passion for transforming spaces and creating homes with a personal touch. With Eric you're not just getting top quality construction service; you're getting his lifelong dedication to craftsmanship and a blend of engineering precision with a love for making homes uniquely yours. When he's not working on projects, Eric enjoys traveling, cycling, rock climbing, snowboarding, and playing music. He shares his life’s journey with his wife and three kids.
Our Story
Evergreen Design + Build is a London, Ontario–based design-build company specializing in custom homes, home additions, and large-scale renovations. Owned and operated by Phil, Stephanie, Mark, and Eric, our company is built on a shared commitment to quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and strong, lasting client relationships.
Evergreen began with Phil dedicating one day a week to helping homeowners with smaller projects. As demand grew, those projects quickly evolved into full-scale renovations. Stephanie joined soon after, bringing her design expertise and helping shape the creative direction of the company. What started as a small operation naturally developed into a true partnership.
As projects became more complex, Mark came on board to manage the growing scope—coordinating trades and overseeing the many moving parts required to deliver high-quality renovations. The three partners eventually incorporated, establishing Evergreen Design + Build as it’s known today.
With continued growth, Eric joined as a second project manager and later became the fourth partner—further strengthening our ability to deliver a seamless, professional design-build experience.
While Evergreen is led by the four of us, our success is supported by a trusted network of skilled tradespeople and long-standing vendor partners. These relationships allow us to consistently deliver exceptional results, bringing each client’s vision to life with precision, care, and attention to detail.
At the core of it all is something that can’t be manufactured—our relationship. The four of us were friends long before Evergreen was ever an idea, and we remain just as close today. That foundation of trust, respect, and shared values is what drives how we work, how we collaborate, and how we build—not just great projects, but a company we’re proud of.
